There are some drawbacks to metal cabinets, however. First, they have a propensity to dent. One could argue that wood has a tendency to scratch, making them comparable in that sense. That is not really accurate, though. Small scratches on wood are almost unnoticeable with repairing a deeper scratch in wood is fairly easy.
