Kitchen cabinets are constructed from different types of tree species. These species of trees produce different quality of wood which in turn is used to make these cabinets. However, the white oak is really durable. This is because of its sturdy structure to which it owes it's durability. Oak cupboards are more durable than maple cupboards. Since oak cabinets are usually quite durable they are lasting and also refacing them is rare. This is because the cost of refacing them is very high.

Maple cabinets differ in price with oak cabinets. Most cabinets are very expensive since the material used to make them is also very expensive. Oak cabinets are very expensive since this species is very rare. The white oak sapling varieties is almost extinct in some parts of the world hence the cabinets that are made from them are very expensive. Maple cupboards are not also that inexpensive since they require some modification in their structure before they are used to produce the ultimate cabinet.
